This Privacy Policy defines the commitment of Forces Direct to protect the privacy of personal information that is collected or used in the course of conducting our business. By submitting identifying data, a visitor to our web site is agreeing to Forces Directs’ use of such data as described in this privacy policy.
Forces Direct will respect the legal requirements that exist regarding the privacy of personal information and are committed to complying with all applicable laws. Forces Direct will, from time to time, review its personal information collection and use and disclosure practices to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
You have the right to ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information supplied by you that Forces Direct holds. Forces Direct has the right to charge an administrative fee for this service. If you would like to request access then please email enquiries@forces-direct.co.uk.
Collection and Retention of Information:
Personal details, including your name, telephone, e-mail address and CV, are held and used by Forces Direct indefinitely as we work in partnership with you to manage your career.
You are able to submit updated CVs to Forces Direct via the web site or request that we delete your CV and profile information from our online database at any time by e-mailing your request to us at enquiries@forces-direct.co.uk. Should you decide that you would no longer like to be contacted by Forces Direct, our best efforts will be used to remove you from our contact list, but we cannot guarantee such, as there are circumstantial reasons that may prevent you from being completely removed from our contact list.
Disclosure of your Information:
The information gathered from your CV is termed "personal data" under the Data Protection Act 1998 and therefore Forces Direct uses your information internally, but does not disclose your personal information to third parties, except as follows:
- We shall send your CV and related information to prospective employers but only with your consent.
- We may disclose such information if legally required to do so, if requested to do so by a governmental entity, or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to: a) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; b) protect the rights or property of Forces Direct; c) prevent a crime or protect national security; or d) protect the personal safety of users or the public.
- We may disclose and transfer such information to a third party who acquires all or a substantial portion of Forces Direct's business, whether such acquisition is by way of merger, consolidation or purchase of all or a substantial portion of our assets.
CVs:
Forces Direct gives you the option of submitting your CV online. You can do this either in response to a particular advertised vacancy or for general consideration by our consultants for vacancies that may arise in the future. Once submitted your information is then stored in the Forces Direct database, and will be accessible by our recruitment consultants. You can update your CV at any time, simply by following the same procedure to submit a new CV. Your old CV will automatically be replaced.
